Janet Summit’s presentation at the 2012 Conference was on the community school she has set up in her Utah community. This was a favorite presentation for a number of attendees, showing what parents with a vision can create in their local community to educate their children. We will be doing some follow-up work on this and Janet will be providing additional information about how you can try to set up a school like this in your area if you are interested.
Here is a sample schedule for the school so you can see what they are doing twice a week in group settings. The other 3 days are for home schooling. The basic premise behind these classes is that every family with children in the school is responsible to teach a class at the school.
